Your Room
All rooms in The Marlay are luxury en-suite rooms. A flat screen multi-channel television has been fitted in each room. A list of channels is available in your room; this includes the DVD channel and Roman Catholic Mass relayed from the Oratory. Certain radio stations are also available through your TV.
Items for your room: We encourage you to bring personal items such as photographs, ornaments and pictures to make your room homely. In consultation with the Nurse Manager, small items of furniture can also be brought into the Nursing Home, for example a favourite chair.
If you wish to bring any electrical equipment into the Home, please make sure it is in proper working order. We accept no responsibility for the safety or condition of items brought into the Home by residents or for any injuries sustained thereafter.
All fixings to hang pictures or other items are done by the Nursing Home Maintenance Staff. Please advise a member of staff what you require.
Newspapers
If you would like a daily newspaper delivered to your room, then this can be arranged through Reception.
Telephones
Direct dial telephones are provided in all bedrooms. Incoming calls go through reception and are then transferred to the individual room. If there is no reply in the room, the call is transferred to the Nurses Station where a member of staff will assist the resident to access the phone, or will bring a cordless phone to the resident. Please refer to the Additional Services Charge Sheet for costings.
